The band Adaen started in Moscow in 2009 with the first album "Dancing Metropolis Burial" which Valentine, a singer/guitarist/author of the band recorded one-man band, as he wanted to create some music to listen to in his walkman. The album got great success among his friends and ordinary listeners so he decided to turn the studio project into a live band. The band now has got eight releases (3 LPs and 5 EPs) and also Adaen toured in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and China. Adaen played shows with The Fall Of Troy, Tesseract, Monuments, Agent Fresco, The Ocean, Leprous, Riverside, Tera Melos, Alithia, Naïve and others, not only as a support act as once Valentine was a bass player for The Fall Of Troy during their tour in Russia. What about the band`s genre - as the musicians themselves say "we are just a rock band", but the genre covers progressive rock, post metal and even a sort of punk and screamo. ProgSphere.com consideres Adaen to be one of the best progressive rock bands from Russia. The anti-military lyrics stand strong in Adaen`s songs. Once the band wrote a song "1915" dedicated to the victims of The Armenian Genocide, which was presented to Serj Tankian from System Of A Down. The band`s live shows are worth paing special attention, bright and expressive they been loved by any audience. In the beginning of 2018 the band became a four piece with a new guitarist and the mascot of the band - the Elephant Man appeared on stage too.
